レコーディング当初は、お花見の華やかな曲に仕上げるつもりだった…
3/11の震災から1週間経った。東北の負ったその傷跡は広がるばかりで悲しみが日本を覆っている。仕事は殆ど手につかなかった。そんなときにこの曲の存在を思い出した。NewYorkTimesが毎日更新する被災地の写真に涙しながら、幾万の魂を想い、被災地で生きる人々のとにかく生きるんだという「力」に助けられながら、この曲を夢中で作り上げた。
そして今、日本の曲を知らない世界中の人たちにこれを聴いてもらえる事。
それが傷ついた方への少しばかりの支援につながればと。
日本はこんなに美しい国です。日本の生きる力を信じて。

東京藝術大学音楽学部邦楽科生田流箏曲専攻卒。箏弾き歌いでソロCDデビューの後、邦楽ユニット”結”を始めとする様々な活動を展開。藤木とは本作の他、「月宵」としても活動中。
